Competition in the flight industry can be only good for the consumer. Travellers should take advantage of discounted flight tickets many flight agencies and airlines are offering. Flight ticket wars are a good thing for travellers and not so good for the companies offering cheap flights. Every now and then airlines offer cheap flight ticket promotion with the aim of promoting customer loyalty to their company. I am afraid that the only loyalty they achieve is for that period of the promotion. When the flight tickets reverts back to standard pricing, guess where all that loyalty goes? ...their competitors, offering an even lower priced flight tickets. Too much competition in the flight industry can even see major flight companies fold. If major flight companies fold its not a good thing for the consumer. It gives monopoly to its former competitors and this can result in high flight tickets. For now the ball is in the travellers court and so it should be.
